I have been dragging this Parsons chair around with me since I moved from Columbia - about 10 years ago. It was in one of my offices before it was redecorated.
I'm sure there was a point in history :cough: 80s :cough: that this seafoam and mauve material was really rockin'. I'm sure that someone scoured fabric shops the way I do today looking for the *ideal* print for these chairs.
Here's my after:

I didn't originally purchase this fabric for this particular chair. It was actually intended for Old Ugly. When I got started measuring for my pattern, I realized I didn't have enough fabric to cover the legs. Geez.... Plan B consisted of me taking the fabric and batting from the legs and painting them a quick coat of black. The legs are sort of rough (I'm sure the fabric was never meant to be removed). I didn't try to smooth them out. I kind of like them that way.
Anyway, I ended up fashioning a little skirt a little way down the leg to cover up the top of the legs. I'm proud of the way it turned out.
Today it lives in the green room. I use it as my desk chair. I can attest to its comfy-ness since I've been sitting in it for a few hours doing real-life work.
