In addition to my day job, I have several projects going on here at the Manse.
There's Old Ugly:
Here he is midway through his rehab. The ugly upholstery has been removed from the back (who put a cushion over that sweet cane back anyway?). His right arm has been glued back into place. He's only waiting for a decision on his frame paint and fabric.
A few weeks ago in the Marshalls Megastore, I found this:
LOVE! But not $50 worth.
Stumbled onto this at Target:
It's one of those wall decals that are so popular right now. The size is similar, and I'm going to make it a dead ringer! By the way, it was only $14.
This is an old brass (eww) candlestick I picked up at my closest Goodwill for a few bucks.
I'm not saying what I'm doing with it yet, but it will be amazing!
In addition to these, I hope to soon be the proud owner of two items I ran across today:
A Drexel campaign dresser for $40. They also had a small matching desk. I've seen some amazing transformations of these on various blogs. Now it's my turn.
I also saw Old Ugly's sister for $15.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the back of the chair. There are insets of upholstery on the back as well. If I can get her (fingers crossed!), I want to do the bottom and front back (stay with me) in one fabric and use a coordinating fabric on the back back (get it?).
They also had several builder's grade brass chandeliers for as low as $8. I'd love to paint one of those for my laundry room. More on it in a later post.
I leave you now with the cutest little nightlight ever.
Target, naturally.
